Us Weekly has just posted a voicemail allegedly left by Tiger Woods for his alleged mistress -- Jaimee Grubbs. In the call, you hear someone who sounds just like Tiger telling Jaimee to remove her name from her own voicemail, because Tiger's wife Elin "went throught my phone and may be calling you." Voicemail campaign ads: Would you use them?

In the coming months, you'll see campaign ads everywhere: On billboards, bumpers, lawns, Facebook profiles. But did you ever think you'd hear one on a friend's cell phone? Did you ever think you'd want to? A company called YouMail launched a page last week with nine campaign-related voicemail recordings available for free download. Fans of certain candidates can set their greetings so they play to their whole address book or assign them only to a few select contacts. The idea hasn't yet taken off in any big way; only greetings supporting Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Rudolph Giuliani have been...

Washington D.C. to Give Homeless Voice-Mail

A new program called "Community Voice Mail" will make 350 voice-mail boxes available to the homeless. The idea is to help the homeless person find a job. Each person enrolled in the program will receive a private D.C. phone number connected to a voice-mail box. The number can be used only to check messages. The city may not have an easy time convincing the desired clients to avail themselves of the service. A homeless man who hangs out near the Smithsonian says he doesn't need the service. They still have no home. They still don't have telephones. But now at least, they said, they have a tool that could help them get...
